The film "Lost in Translation" showcases two characters, young newlywed Charlotte and famous actor Bob Harris, both adrift in the foreign land of Japan. Charlotte is waiting for her husband to complete an assignment as a photojournalist of beautiful actresses, while Bob Harris is in Japan to do an advertising photo shoot for Santori beverage. The two meet in a high-end hotel and strike up a friendship that may turn into much more. The movie is about how they find common ground in each other's distinct personalities, and whether or not they decide to strike up a romantic relationship. The movie features the beautiful sights of Japan and many laughs as the two of them try to understand each other and the strange foreign land that they find themselves living in. Charlotte must decide if she is meant to be with her husband, and Bob must decide if he will return to his nagging wife in America. Meanwhile, the two become fast friends and learn much about themselves in Japan.
